| The main application of MHOS HWM-P15 is to measure the radioactive contamination level in hospital waste.
When the pre-set threshold is exceeded, the system software activates a luminous and acoustic alarm, and generates a measurement report that is saved in the control console (panel PC). Each of the two columns hosts a plastic scintillator coupled to the signal processing electronics, and a lead shielding to lower the environmental background contribution. | The MHOS HWM-P15 continuously checks the electronics status through a self-diagnosis function. The “health status” of the system, as well as the measurements results, are displayed by the control console and by the alarm column.
According to the requirements or to the monitoring specifications, a desktop PC may be used instead of a touch-screen panel PC. |
