Field-deployable & emergency response systems

Designed for rapid deployment in critical situations, these field-deployable systems provide reliable radiological monitoring and contamination assessment in emergency scenarios. With portability, quick setup, and high detection sensitivity, they support first responders and radiation protection teams in ensuring safety and compliance, even in challenging environments.

Up to date, ELSE NUCLEAR proposes the following field-deployable & emergency response systems:

  • Mobile gamma spectrometry and survey units (HERMES Series)
  • Mobile sample analyser and gamma spectrometer (HERMES GSU)
  • Fully integrated food monitor for emergency use (FOOMON)
  • Portable thyroid monitor for emergency use (THYMON)

FOOMON is a portable fully-integrated instrument specifically conceived for screening of I-131, Cs-134 and Cs-137 accumulated in food samples. Its “on-the-field” design allows deploying the device in any kind of situation, such as routine campaigns or emergency procedures.

THYMON is a compact NaI(Tl)-based detector specifically conceived tofast, yet reliably, measure I-131 contamination in thyroid. Its compactness, ruggedness, light-weight, together with its simple and intuitive built-in software interface, make the device perfectly suited for emergency screening applications.
